Welcome to Phantom Raiders Recruitment

Phantom Raiders is a high-end raiding guild: Our primary goals are to progress quickly through new expansions and to have fun. We have successfully completed a number of server-wide and server firsts. We are looking for dedicated, skilled, and mature players looking to join us in some of the most challenging zones in EQ. We raid Sunday - Friday from 2:30 to 6:30pm (est), which is in UK time is 7:30 to 11:30pm (1930 to 2330 hours); minimum raid attendance required is 50%. Our loot distribution is a merit-based system. Although we do not require you to have any flags, you must be willing to work to catch up to the guild's progress. Our current raid zones include, but are not limited to .

a) Crystallos
b) SoD Korafax/Warrens

1. Prerequisites for recruitment

Basic requirements are:

a) You must be at least level 80 working towards 85 (level 78/83 for HIGH need classes) 85 for membership.
b) You must have at least 300 AA's to start recruitment and 500 AA's before you will be considered for full membership. (200 AA's / 400 aa's for HIGH need classes)
c) You must have all expansions.
d) You must have a connection and computer that can support 54 person raids.
e) You MUST maintain a 50% raid average. If you are going to be gone more then 2 days you MUST either let your sponsor or an officer know, if your attendance should drop below 3 days per week average you will NOT proceed to the final stage of recruitment until that average is brought back up.

We are actively seeking the following classes (Other classes will be considered on a case-by-case basis):

Bard - High
Cleric - Medium
Warrior - Medium

If you are not one of the above classes , don't worry we turn away no competent drama free player. Please contact a recruiter for information on additional requirements.

2. Applying to Phantom Raiders

Contact Sweetfire either in game or by email. She will explain, in more detail, the day to day requirements of your recruitment. A recruiter will send you a questionnaire to gather information on your AA's, keys, flags and faction statuses. Please answer the questions and return the eqmail as soon as possible. NO ACTION is taken on your recruitment request until the questionnaire is completed and returned.

For the next three days, your request for recruitment will circulate through the guild for discussion. If your request is accepted, you will receive an invitation to recruit and a temporary guild tag for the duration of your recruitment. Again, this is three days AFTER your questionnaire is returned to the PR recruiter.

NOTE: Recruiters are always busy during raid. If you are concerned that they have missed your tells, or you have any general questions feel free to send an in game e-mail or talk with another member.

3. Being a Recruit

Once you are accepted as a recruit, you will receive a PR guild tag. Over the next 30-45 days, you will be expected to meet the following requirements:

a) Minimum raid attendance of 50% both during and after recruitment
b) A shrink device (potions, spell, clicky, etc)
c) Read guild policies (separate post/sticky than this one)
d) You will be expected to work with a class representative to become familiar with other players of your class, learn raid information, gain insights into raid events, and assess your skills and abilities.

NOTE 1: As a recruit, it is in your best interests to make a good impression. We will not ask you to change your personality or who you are, but certain behavior will not be tolerated. You may be asked to adjust your play style to fit in with PR's raiding format.

NOTE 2: Until you are caught up with keys/flags you might be asked to sit out to await an available "will-in" spot.

NOTE 3: Though we quote "30-45 days," it is only a guideline. In actuality, there is NO set length of time for recruitment. The duration can be sortened or extended depending on the individual's circumstance. However, impressing and befriending full members, and acquiring your flags/keys/faction potentially hasten your vote for membership to the minimum 30 days.

4. Becoming a probationary member & full member

Probation: Once you've met the minimum requirements for MEMBERSHIP, a vote on your full member will be held. The voting period lasts for three days. If you pass this vote, you will be permanently tagged in the guild. If you are accepted, you enter a three month probationary period, in which you MUST maintain an average 50% raid attendance. You will have the same privileges and loot rights as a full member.

Full member: Upon successfully completing the probationary requirements, you will be marked as a full member. CONGRATULATIONS!

5. Notes about recruitment

Cross-Server transfers will be considered but please contact a recruiter and let him/her know your home server and why you are leaving your home server and choosing Bertox/Phantom Raiders. As a server transfer you will by pass the three day poll. However, server transfers are NOT guaranteed membership in PR. You will go through recruitment like anyone else, must meet all requirements, and pass the final vote. However, recruitment may be shorted for some server transfers.

Recruits often receive nice items; however, you will only be allowed to ask for items once they go "OPEN" (meaning no member has asked for that item). Any item meeting this qualification will be clearly noted in guild chat or raidsay by being designated as "OPEN." Recruits will only be allowed to get up to 6 items per month during recruitment unless an item is ROTTING so choose these items carefully.

While we do not require flags, they do help immensely!
